As a fledgeling online art gallery, we are always looking for new artists to join what I like to call “an art revolution”. I believe that Australian United Artists is the only site that includes ceramicists, digital painters, glass blowers and moulders, potters, sculptors, wood carvers and wood turners as artists.
Not only that, but we do not charge 30% commission to sell art (our major competitor does). Our commission fees are from a very low 2.5% to a maximum of 10%. We also provide a service where the postage of each artwork is calculated individually. We do not simply add $50 or $100 to the price you see depending on the size of the artwork.
You can also buy art for sale by auction on the site.
I believe our site is the only Australian art to offer this service.
Turkish Marbling, (Ebru), is a very old art form. It is the art of creating colourful patterns by the sprinkling and brushing of colour pigments on a pan of oily water. Then delicately transforming this pattern to paper. The special tools of the trade include brushes of made of horsehair bound to straight rose twigs, a deep tray made of unknotted pinewood, natural earth pigments and more. It is believed to have been invented in thirteenth century Turkistan.
